This course will give you a chance to learn about trees and the many forest products found in our everyday lives. You will learn about tree biology, current practices in forest management, forest technologies, forest products, careers, and even the importance of urban forestry.  This includes a study of the paper making industry, Christmas tree production, lumber harvesting, and marketing. A unit on land description will include the use of a compass and GPS units. Labs involving outdoor activities and the school forest will be included.
