Youth Options Program
This program permits 11th and 12th grade students enrolled in a public high school to attend a Wisconsin institution of higher education to take one or more non-sectarian courses. The purpose of this program is to allow a student the option of taking college courses for post-secondary credit or to take an advanced level course that is not comparable to a course in the regular high school sequence.
The cost of this program varies depending on the course selection and the credit earned. If a participating student takes a course for post-secondary credit only, the pupil is responsible for paying the cost of the program. If the student takes the course for high school credit, the student must have the program approved by the Marshall School District. If approved for high school credit, the Marshall School District shall be responsible for tuition and fees for only those courses that are successfully completed.
Any student planning on using the Youth Options Program must apply to the High School Principal by October 1st for the Spring Semester and March 1st for the Fall Semester. Any student interested in the Youth Options Program should contact Eugene Syvrud (please reference Board Policy 343.42)
